JD Capital Awarded “Best PE Groups”, “PE Figures of the Year” and Others

On April 23 and April 24, the 2015 ChinaVenture Investment Conference was held in Shanghai. At this conference, the landscape of China’s private equity market in the prior year was reviewed and the “List of China’s Best VC/PE Groups in 2014” was released as well.
JD Capital topped the list of “Best Chinese PE Investment Groups in 2014”and ranked fourth on the list of “ChinaVenture Top 5 Best Chinese PE Investment Groups in 2014”. In the meantime, JD Capital’s increase in its capital investment and expansion of it’s holding in Tianyuan Securities (now the JZ Securities) was awarded as “China’s Most Ground-breaking M&A Case in 2014”. Its investment by holding shares of Guangxi Liuzhou Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. was selected as “The Best Case of PE Exit in 2014”.
In October, 2014, JD Capital increased its investment in Tianyuan Securities and became its controlling shareholder. In the following five years or so, JD Capital plans to help Tianyuan develop into a domestically leading security company with its own expertise in the niche market with comprehensive supports of fund, technology and resources.
Another awarded case was JD Capital’s investment in Guangxi Liuzhou Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. (603368), a leading pharmaceutical distribution company in the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region with hospital sales as its major business and retail pharmacies & the third terminal market as its equally important businesses. Since 2002, Liuzhou Pharmaceutical’s operating revenue has been growing at a Compound Average Growth Rate of nearly 30%, taking the leading position in the industry. In December 2014, the company got listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange and the funds of JD Capital held 16.21% of its shares before the listing.
In addition to the awards for JD Capital as a group and for its investments, Cai Lei, an investment partner of JD Capital, was awarded “Chinese PE Figures of the Year” for the fifth time.
